Essential Wheels™ eBike loaners

Manzanita Works' Bike Loaner Program
We are thrilled to share with our newsletter subscribers that Manzanita Works' bike loaner program, Essential Wheels™, is returning to San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties in February with a folding e-bike model available!
Where we loaned out pedal bikes to essential workers in the past, we are currently focused on loaning e-bikes to commuters who want to try this type of vehicle as an alternative to driving in their car to work. To start, we have a folding e-bike model available for borrowing on a monthly basis starting in February with step-thru commuter bikes coming soon.
Borrowing is free in 2025 and priority is given to the essential workers whose employers are in our transit consortium such as the employees of Ravenswood City School District, Ravenswood Family Health Network (all clinic sites) and JobTrain. In addition, if you are part of a voluntary civic organization in our Manzanita Coalition such as the Palo Alto Educators Association, CSEA 301, DTA MVLA, Los Altos Teachers Association, CSEA 812, CSEA 527, Day Worker Center of Mountain View, and several local faith organizations, you too can access this program.
If you're not sure if you qualify or would like to know more, we encourage you to reach out to us and we can help connect you as more inventory is added.
Would you like to borrow an e-bike for free for a month to try it out for your commute? Email us at info@manzanita.works with "Essential Wheels" in the subject line and your name in the email body to be added to the interest list for the program re-launch!
